Your statement is a serious undertaking. As such, it is important to carefully consider the veracity of the facts observed and the remarks reported in order to avoid being considered defamatory. If the school decides to open an investigation, it will be conducted in a neutral manner.
Welcome to the STOP Harassment platform
This EM Normandie initiative has been funded by the CVEC
You can report harassment, gender-based and/or sexual violence, discrimination or hazing that you have experienced, witnessed or that a victim has personally reported to you here, in a completely secure and confidential manner.
The STOP Harassment platform is not an emergency platform and will never take the place of the authorities.
For any emergency, please contact the national emergency numbers (see the 'Emergency numbers' document below).
Whether on campus, in the street, within the family or at a party: you can contact the STOP harassment unit.
The STOP Harassment unit's aim is to provide you with a safe, non-judgmental and trusting space in which to confide in someone. If you feel the need, you can also be offered support (psychological, academic, legal, etc.).
Your consent will be respected at every stage of the procedure, and you will always have the opportunity to withdraw your consent.

Other staff and students at EM Normandie have been trained to listen to you if you need help. They are called the ‘Care Team’.
Feel free to consult the Care Team directory at the bottom of the page to find the person you trust most.
What is the STOP Harassment unit?
It is the operational unit that processes reports received by EM Normandie Business School. It is part of the School's overarching system to combat Harassment, Discrimination and Sexual and Gender-Based Violence (SGBV), with the aim of protecting every EMN student throughout their course.
The unit comprises a number of EM Normandie employees, who receive the relevant training and are subject to a strict duty of confidentiality. Their mission is to study each report, to support victims and to conduct an internal investigation where required (with the consent of the victim).
Who can make a report? When can I make a report?
Any EM Normandie student can make a report, whether they have been a victim, witness, or have been made aware of an act of harassment (psychological harassment, cyberbullying etc.), discrimination, sexual or gender-based violence (gender-based insults, sexual assault, rape) or fresher initiation rituals. If the report concerns a student directly, faculty and staff can also use the platform. The STOP Harassment unit will support any student who requires assistance, whether the incident takes place on campus, in the street, in the family home or during an evening event.
Who will receive my report, and who will have access to the information sent? How long will they have access for?
Only the STOP Harrassment unit Managers will have access to your report and identity. The team includes:
→ Alice DUVAL, Head of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion and the project managers of the Wellness department;
→ Julien SOREAU, Student Life Director ;
→ Sabrina TANQUEREL, Specialist Contact for Gender Equality and Assistant Professor of Human Resource Management and Personal Development;
→ Stéphanie PERSON, Head of Legal Affairs;
• For the international campuses:
- Miriam SCHMIDKONZ, Director of the Oxford campus
- Caroline CHAUVIRE, Director of the Dublin campus
- Khaireddine MOUAKHAR, Director of the Dubai campus.
We will always ask for your approval before any other unit staff member is involved in managing your file. Once the procedure has been completed, your report will be archived on our secure platform for the duration of your studies at EM Normandie, and then deleted.
Can I make an anonymous report?
Your report will be kept confidential, but can also be made anonymously. Note, however, that this will limit the actions that the STOP Harassment unit can take (we will be unable to set up removal measures, investigate or start disciplinary proceedings against the alleged perpetrator(s)). We therefore recommend that you lift your anonymity, safe in the knowledge that your report will remain confidential. Confidentiality can only be lifted at your request, if you wish disciplinary proceedings to be launched.
What happens after I send my report?
1. The Direction of the STOP Harassment unit will assess your report, and will get back to you via the platform secure messaging service to arrange an interview. It is therefore necessary to keep the password that will be given to you when you submit your report.
2. This confidential interview will be carried out in a sensitive and caring manner by two staff members of the STOP Harassment unit, who have training in listening and in sexual and gender-based violence. The aim of this interview is to complete your initial report, but it will also be an opportunity for you to express your expectations and needs, and to seek support if necessary. Notes setting out the facts and your preferences in terms of the outcome will be drafted and recorded on our secure platform, solely for the purpose of protecting the victim in the event of a problem. These notes are only visible to the unit’s Direction.
3. Once the interview is completed and the notes have been added, the STOP Harassment unit will assess the information and will decide what the next steps are, based on the circumstances and the victim’s preferences:
- If the victim does not wish to follow up the report, it will be closed.
- If the victim wants to set up precautionary protection measures: removal, change of group...
- If the victim wants to launch disciplinary actions, with the approval of the Direction of the STOP Harassment unit: an internal investigation will be launched, with a hearing of witnesses. An investigation report will be issued within 30 working days (delays may be extended depending on reports), and will be reviewed by the unit’s Direction to determine whether disciplinary measures should be taken.
In all cases, the STOP Harassment unit will always offer support to the victim in accordance with their needs (psychological support, social worker, referral to external specialist associations, etc.).
I don't know if I've been a victim of violence / I'm reluctant to report it
You may wish to call on Lilabot, the Elle Caetera association chatbot, which is available on the STOP Harassment platform. Lilabot will help you to determine if you have been a victim of violence, help you to classify this violence and will provide you with names of organisations who can help you on a national level (France) but also at a local level, near our French campuses.
You can also have a quick chat with a STOP Harassment unit staff member, who will be able to answer all your questions confidentially. This chat will not commit you to anything and you can use the medium of your choice (e-mail, Teams, Messenger, phone), or chat anonymously if you wish (e.g. a hidden call). Contacts are available on the platform's home page or in the document entitled ‘Care Team Directory’.
Please note: the STOP Harassment unit aims to provide you with a caring, trusting and non-judgmental space in which you can confide in complete safety. Once a report has been made, your consent will be respected at every stage of the procedure, and you will always have the opportunity to retract your statement.
